3) Presentation
9:15 - 10:15 am "The Importance of Succession Planning in Business Continuity"

Succession planning is a strategic process that helps organizations identify and develop internal talent to fill key leadership positions. This is crucial for maintaining operational stability and ensuring that the organization can continue to function smoothly during transitions. Cliff's interactive presentation will include key topics such as: 1. Leadership Continuity, 2. Knowledge Retention, 3. Employee Engagement and Retention and, 4. Risk Management.
Cliff is passionate about this as a topic for the business continuity professional, and about the broad and strategic thoughts and actions required to set your organization up for success.

In his presentation Scott will focus on readiness characteristics of effective frontline professionals using three (3) progressive levels:
Level I – Introduction to Physical Readiness: bodyweight foundation.
Level II – Preparation: cardio and gym programming designed for responders.
Level III – Readiness: industry-specific workouts and scenario-based drills.

7) Presentation
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm "OSFI Regulation Update"
Elspeth Bowler, Managing Director, Operatonal Risk, OSFI (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions)
Operational Resilience is important for all industries, perhaps especially the Finance industry. Using OSFI's recent operational resilience survey, Elspeth will cover the industry's progress in meeting Guideline E-21 - Operational Risk Management and Resilience by discussing (1) industry progress against E-21 expectations, (2) approaches to implementation and (3) areas of challenge.
8) Panel Discussion
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Six (6) tables will be setup with an SME lead holding one question/topic for each group to discuss. Approximately 6-8 people per table depending on attendance numbers. SMEs will diarize the group's key points or answers. A timer will signify "times up" (about 10 minutes) then the groups get up and rotate to the next table and topic, If we have time, SME's at each table with highlight 2 or 3 Key Takeaways from the discussions at their table. Answers will be collected, digitized (PDF) and turned back to symposium attendees.
